Hi y'all, we are nearing the end of the trip and we are tired. All we planned for today was to ride the gondola to the top of the mountain and dinner reservations at 6pm at a nice Italian place. And that's ok.
So, we slept in and had a leisurely lunch of fish and chips across the way. Then we got an Uber to the gondola 🚠. It was a nice 30 minute $30 drive. Only to find out that it was closed due to high wind on the mountain. Whoop whoop. Luckily the Uber hadn't left so he brought us back to town.
Chris: Soooooo, that doesn't leave much to say about today ! Just that we've traveled quite a bit and stuff happens and we have definitely learned to roll with it. We managed to roll with being half way around the world when the Covid lockdowns started, we can roll with a gondola being closed. We are still in Christchurch New Zealand and still on vacation so all is good. We just walked around a cool part of the city, had really good coffee at a sidewalk coffee shop and watched Christchurch go by. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a day like that :)
Rhonda: Not at all! We had a glass of wine in the bar and played rummycube. Nothing wrong with that. We went to Francesca's Italian Kitchen for dinner. We forgot the food pictures. But here's the menu . We had the focaccia bread, the beetroot salad and the bolognese with hand made pasta. To die for!
We have an early and long tour tomorrow up into the mountains "The Southern Alps". So to bed early tonight, love y'all.
