We Went to Uruguay for Lunch

Hi y'all. It's Rhonda. We got up about 630a after having gone to bed so early last night. So we had time for breakfast at the hotel before heading to the ferry to Colonia del Sacramento Uraguay. I booked a tour that came with the ferry tickets at 1030a and a walking tour when we got there. Well.... we woke up to the tour company cancelling us and saying they couldn't get tickets. Well hell. So we just did it on our own. We got to the ferry station and the first ferry with availability was at 1250pm. Ouch. So we had no choice but to just wait. It was ok. We were together and playing games on our phone and time passed pretty quickly. The ferry was nice! It had a duty free store, a cafe, a first class section and a section for your car. It was bigger than any we have been on. The trip is just 1:15 across from Argentina. We got there at 215p and had about 3hours to explore. It's a little UNESCO city with cobble stoned streets and it's on the ocean. So cute! We found a great place for lunch with a view of the ocean and right in front of a fan. It's so hot here. We are not used to almost 100 degree weather yet and it's quite a shock to the system. Here are the restaurant and the prawns we had:

Lunch was both beautiful and delicious. Uraguay wine is wonderful also.

We didn't really want to do a tour, we really wanted to do it on our own but we messed around too long and the ferry was sold out at the time we wanted when we got around to booking, again, when will we learn? So we booked the tour . and then it was still too late. But, in fairness to us both, this trip took a lot of planning and we got a lot right, the ferry reservation to Uruguay we got wrong, oops. But it was an absolutely wonderful day, we rode a cool ferry from Buenos Aires Argentina to Colonia del Sacramento Uruguay, had lunch and wine at a delightful restaurant, outside next to the sea then walked some of the old town that hasn't really changed in one hundred, two hundred

years ? I'll take that.

We then grabbed a cab back to the ferry terminal, not far but we were hot. Rhonda slept most of the crossing, I slept about thirty minutes then went to the store and got a canned Jack Daniels and Coke and a bag of Hershey's Miniatures. I sipped my Jack and Coke and ate miniature Mr. Good Bars on the way from Uruguay to Argentina. Travel is a wonderful thing.

Rhonda: We have a fun day tomorrow at a Goucho ranch with a BBQ and cowboy show. We are having such a good time!

Love y'all. Thanks for keeping up with our adventures.
